Right now, all you have is questions… That’s cool; at this stage, you’re working out how the elements of your story will fit together on the day. My purpose is to fill you with confidence that I will capture all the details, laughs and moments.

How do you work, Jon?
I’m so glad you asked me… Lots of people feel uneasy about having their photo taken. My style is to engage people naturally; most of the time you won’t even realise I’ve caught you looking stunning. I’ll be in the background, making certain I capture all the big and little moments to create the story of your day. I won’t ask anyone to adopt cheesy poses; I’ll look for natural moments and put everyone at ease.
If you want set-piece group shots, that’s equally fine. I will take charge of those (with a little help from your ushers, perhaps…) so that everyone who is important to you have their moment to look amazing with you.
We can also discuss a pre-shoot or engagement shoot. This works well to help you feel more confident in front of the camera. Not only will you get another great set of natural, at ease images, it helps us refine the details.
Are you available?
I’m taking bookings for 2024, 2025 and 2026 – if you’re looking that far ahead. I work any day of the week, so every day is good for me.
If I’m busy on the day you have already committed to, I can point you to another photographer who will also tell your unique story.
Do you only work in the Peak District?
I take photos wherever I go. I enjoy travelling to new destinations and exploring what they have to offer. I have amazing photographs of Kent, Cornwall, Wales, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, the Lake District and Scotland and loads of other places in between. I’m one of those folk for whom the journey is as enjoyable as the destination.
The Peak District is where I live and it is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. I love it here and travel makes me appreciate it more and more.
Ok; I have a few detail questions as well...?
No problem; I want you to feel confident and comfortable I’ve got everything under control, so here’s a few things to tick off:
– I have spare kit, so if one camera fails, I’ll keep working without a pause.
– I have insurance – enough to satisy your wedding planner, venue and anyone else who needs to know. I am also networked with other amazing photographers, so if I have an emergency, I’m very likely to find someone to cover at short notice.
– I’ll provide a few images shortly after the day for you to share. I’ll spend a few days making certain I can provide you with a finely crafted set of pictures in whatever format you prefer.
– On the day, I will only have one commitment. I’ll not be thinking about my next client – I will be concentrating on you!
