My life creating marriage memories as a Peak District Wedding Photographer started on 5th September, 2013. I photographed the marriage of my wonderful niece Joleen and her fella, Adam. As family and friends gathered in the warmth of Northampton Town centre, we were blessed with a beautifully sunny day. From the start of their day, Joleen and Adam positively glowed with joy and excitement. Perfectly remembering every word of their vows, they swapped rings and stepped out of the registry office joined together in love for each other. Joleen looked radiant in her fabulous white dress; Adam immaculate in a sharp suit.
Of course, every wedding day is also a celebration. Every one of Joleen and Adam’s family and friends shared in their joy. We partied… well; let’s say… enthusiastically! There were loads of funny, hilarious, embarrassing and truly epic marriage memories created that day, for sure!
Throughout the day, Jon Hollands Photography caught the little moments and created the story of Joleen and Adam’s most precious day. Memories created in pictures which last forever. I have been to many weddings since then and I’m a much better photographer now – but nothing can beat my first occasion as a wedding photographer. Nervous, anxious and, yes, fairly stressed! It’s a milestone that has lodged itself in my memory… every wedding is unique, a new set of memories that are precious.
Adam & Joleen recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. Every day, they learn new ways to love each other a little bit more. Their photo-album is well-thumbed and just a tiny bit worn at the edges. It’s full of notes and comments that add to the store of memories from a perfect day. each time they look at their album, they spot something else they thought they had forgotten.
Sadly, Joleen’s dad is no longer around. But her wedding album shows him bursting with pride as he gave away his little girl – and welcomed Adam into his family.
